Everyone is welcome, Everyone belongs and Everyone is important
WELCOME TO SANDFIELD
I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of Sandfield Primary School, tucked away in the heart of Guildford town centre.
Founded in 1901, Sandfield retains much of its original Victorian charm, offering a unique blend of heritage and innovation. We are a one-form entry primary school with seven classes, welcoming children aged 4 to 11. Our school is a vibrant reflection of the world, with over 50% of our pupils speaking English as an Additional Language. In fact, our children represent 57 countries and speak 31 different languages, creating a truly multicultural and inclusive environment.
At Sandfield, our vision is to harness technology to create equal opportunities for all. Every child is provided with their own iPad, removing barriers and enabling personalised learning. Our Technology Ambassadors are advocates for our digital approach, support younger children and share our vision with visitors and prospective families. Pupils use accessibility tools to tailor their learning, demonstrating independence, digital literacy, and thoughtful decision-making. Technology at Sandfield enables inclusion, independence and ambition for every child.
We are also proud recipients of the Heritage Schools Award, which celebrates our commitment to helping children explore and take pride in the history of their local area, and understand its connections to regional, national, and global heritage.
Families are always warmly welcomed to visit us and see our school in action, meet our wonderful children, and speak with our dedicated staff.
If you would like to get in touch, please email us at reception@sandfield.surrey.sch.uk. Current parents can reach us directly at parents@sandfield.surrey.sch.uk.
Kindest regards
Mrs Kate Collins
